Dr. Michael Smith, Dentist in Sioux Falls

Dr. Michael Smith

Combining general dentistry skills with a sense of humor and a dedication to his patients’ comfort, Dr. Mike keeps his patients smiling.

Dr. Michael Smith is from York, Nebraska and joined the Naval Reserves in 1986, where he served for eight years, including a Gulf War deployment in 1990-91. He attended Creighton University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Biology, then attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry where he received his DDS degree and met Dr. Nichol.

Following their dental school graduation, Drs. Mike and Nichol joined the United States Air Force. The Drs. served the rest of their commitment at Altus Air Force base in OK and moved to Sioux Falls to open Dental Care Associates in 1999.

Dr. Mike believes in giving back and providing direction for new dentists, teaching once a week at the Creighton University Dental School. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids and cheering on the Huskers.

Bringing her passion for dentistry and eye for detail to the practice, Dr. Nichol appreciates the results and patient reactions she receives from performing functional yet esthetic dental procedures.

Dr. Nichol Smith was raised in Sioux Falls, SD. After graduating from Washington High School (valedictorian), she attended the University of South Dakota and received her bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry (cum laude). Dr. Smith completed her DDS degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry where she met Dr. Mike.

Drs. Michael and Nichol Smith joined the United States Air Force, determined to give back to their country. The two were accepted into the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at Offut Air Force base in Omaha, NE.  In 1999, the dynamic dental duo moved to Sioux Falls and opened Dental Care Associates.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with their three children, family, and friends.

As a caring and compassionate person, you can guarantee Dr. Kuipers will make you and your family’s dental care a priority.  She takes pride in getting to know her patients and their families while giving them the quality care she extends to her own family.

Dr. Chelsea Kuipers was born and raised in Sioux Falls, where she graduated from Lincoln High School, and Augustana University with degrees in Biology and Spanish. In 2010, Dr. Kuipers completed her DDS degree at the Creighton University Dental School and joined Dental Care Associates.

In her free time, Dr. Kuipers enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children. She also enjoys athletic events, going to the lake, and watching the Minnesota Vikings.

Dr. Lauren Booth-Roby, Dentist in Sioux Falls

Dr. Lauren Booth-Roby

Keeping her patients at ease and comfortable is a personal mission for Dr. Booth-Roby. She is passionate about providing outstanding dental care that any patient can leave smiling about.

Dr. Lauren Booth-Roby is the newest Sioux Falls dentist to join the practice. She is originally from Omaha, Nebraska and received her Biology and Business degree from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix (Magnum cum Laude). She then returned to Omaha, where she received her DDS from Creighton University School of Dentistry. While at Creighton, Dr. Booth-Roby held multiple positions, including Vice President, of the District 8 ASDA (American Student Dental Association).

Dr. Booth-Roby enjoys an adventure. You can find her running, hiking, or exploring with her husband and Aussiedoodle, Duke, waterskiing, playing volleyball or golfing.
